The Pharma Project is an independent information portal covering India’s pharmaceutical manufacturing industry — third party manufacturing, PCD franchise, licensing, and medicine information — written in plain Hindi and English.
We are based in Zirakpur, Punjab, a short drive from Baddi, which is one of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturing clusters in Asia.
Why This Site Exists
For six years I worked with pharmaceutical and nutraceutical companies across the Zirakpur and Baddi belt, building their websites and handling their digital presence. That work put me in rooms with manufacturing unit owners, PCD franchise distributors, and people who were just starting out and trying to figure out where to begin.
The same questions came up again and again.
What does third party manufacturing actually cost? What is a realistic MOQ? Which licence do I need before I can sell? How do I check whether a manufacturer’s GMP certificate is genuine? What does Schedule H mean on a medicine strip?
And every time someone searched for these answers online, they found the same three things: outdated blog posts, thinly disguised advertisements for a single company, or English-only content that most people in this business do not read comfortably.
The information existed. It was just scattered across government PDFs, industry forums, and the heads of people who had learned it the hard way.
The Pharma Project started as an attempt to put that information in one place, written clearly, in the language people actually search in.

How We Work
Every article is researched from primary sources. For regulatory content, that means the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation, the Ministry of AYUSH, FSSAI, and state drug controller notifications. For medicine information, it means manufacturer product literature and recognised medical references.
Where we state a fee, a timeline, or a licensing requirement, we link to the official source so you can verify it yourself. Government fees and processes change, and we would rather you check than take our word for it.
Our medicine articles are reviewed by a qualified pharmacy professional before publication. Our manufacturing and business content draws on direct industry exposure across the Punjab and Himachal manufacturing belt.

The site is funded through advertising and through connecting readers with manufacturing partners when they ask us to. Advertisements are served automatically and do not influence what we write. If a company advertises with us, that does not earn them a mention in an article, and it does not change how we describe them.
